In truth, all Wild As The Wind essential oils are ethically sourced. But we use this term to differentiate our Ethically Sourced (Non-Organic) Essential Oils from our Organic Essential Oils and Wild Crafted Essential Oils.

Wild As The Wind Ethically Sourced Essential Oils are obtained from producers who work sustainably and sympathetically with a reverence for the earth and environment. This is the minimum standard which we set.

However, many Wild As The Wind Ethically Sourced Essential Oils come from producers who are growing organically, or to standards even higher than organic farming standards. Nevertheless, they don’t have organic certification.

This is sometimes because their yield for certain oils is so small that it isn’t commercially viable to pay the high cost of organic certification. Or, they are old-school, third and fourth generation farmers, and barely have a computer, let alone the administrative structure to cope with the application and printing of organic certificates.

But, whatever the reason for not registering their aromatherapy oils as organic, there is one thing which remains true of all of the producers Wild As The Wind work with… they make their essential oils in the most environmentally sensitive and ethical way possible.
