Using Essential Oils For Prayer
Using aromatherapy oils for prayer, or for reciting mantras, is an ideal way to supercharge the effects of the essential oils you are using.
Essential oils work on an energetic level, and so does prayer, chanting and the repetition of mantras. All of these things raise our energetic vibration, leading to new outcomes for us personally, as well as globally.
Prayers and mantras help us to reach within, so that we may communicate with our Higher Selves. They help us find the best and healthiest answers to the challenges we face.
They also allow us to enter a state of grace if this will serve our highest interests.
In creating focus, and repeating our intentions, in the form of prayer, or as a mantra, we can connect to the collective unconscious, and creative forces of the Universe, allowing us to draw healing energies to ourselves.
Edgar Cayce On Meditation & Prayer
According to Edgar Cayce, attunement and application are at the heart of spiritual growth. Attunement is the process of awakening to our spiritual nature and our true relationship with God. The most frequently recommended tools for achieving this attunement are the regular practice of prayer and meditation. Cayce believed that prayer was talking to God, while meditation was listening to God. Both prayer and meditation are invaluable at re-establishing a conscious awareness of our spiritual source while inviting God’s will to work through us as a “channel of blessings” to others.
Edgar Cayce
Prayer is more than attuning one’s mind to the spiritual. It is a cooperative effort to connect body and mind with the goal of allowing the soul to communicate with the Divine. It is a state of becoming, of allowing the self to step aside and beckon forth the Creative Forces. Then, and only then, can you approach another as the Christ Spirit would—meeting each of us exactly where we are.

Prayers, Mantras & Affirmations
Prayers, mantras and affirmation are different methods of achieving the same ends. All are designed to connect us with Universal Love and wisdom, and all are designed to bring about health and wellbeing.
Affirmations can help us change our mind, mood, and health, and reach new levels of awareness and happiness. [Edgar Cayce] gave over a hundred affirmations to people seeking physical, mental, or spiritual help.
Edgar Cayce was a very religious man, who was also profoundly psychic. He performed extremely accurate health / medical readings for people whilst in a self-imposed trance-like state.
The readings needed to be transcribed by a doctor, as Edgar Cayce was not able to recall the readings once he was fully conscious. He also did not recognise some of the medical terms.
Edgar Cayce performed medical readings for politicians and statesmen, as well as people from all walks of life.

How To Use Essential Oils For Prayer
It is incredibly easy to incorporate prayer, or the chanting of mantras, into your essential oils practice.
Simply sit quietly, place a drop or two of your chosen essential oil, or essential oil blend, on to a tissue, and hold it directly beneath your nose. Breathe in and out slowly whilst saying your prayer or mantra.
You can choose your own prayer or mantra, or you can use the one below. But, it is best to stick to the general format… welcoming in healing forces with every in-breath, and letting go of unhealthy forces when breathing out.
The words of your prayer do not need to be spoken out loud. You can say them in your head if you prefer.
Repeat as many times as it takes to achieve one or two minutes of essential oil inhalation. But, don’t over do it. You may need to stop midway through your prayer if you feel as though you have inhaled enough essential oil. If this is the case, simply skip to the final four lines to conclude your prayer, whilst breathing normally.
Adapt this prayer, or mantra, to suit your particular focus. You can leave out sections of the prayer / mantra, or you can add to it.
