UK Skincare & Essential Oils
Wild As The Wind is a proprietary skincare brand, UK Essential Oils retailer, and authorised stockist of Healing Herbs Bach Flower Remedies.
Originating from a beautiful, rural setting, just south of Bristol & the City of Bath, in sunny Somerset, we moved southward at the beginning of 2022. We are currently situated where three counties meet: Devon, Dorset and Somerset, again in a rural setting.
The overriding focus of Wild As The Wind is to provide the finest quality essential oils and natural skincare products at the most affordable prices possible. We carry one of the most extensive ranges of essential oils in the UK, alongside our highly acclaimed skincare range.
Of equal importance is the desire to help people make healthy choices about their personal care. To this end, Rachel Wild continues to publish free-to-access, cutting-edge, natural health information.
It is also why we made the decision to become an authorised stockist of the Healing Herbs Bach Flower Remedies range, in 2021.

Digestive Health (is at the root of most of our illnesses)

Eczema & Psoriasis Causes & Cures
Wild As The Wind Ethos & Eco-Consciousness
Wild As The Wind is a proud member of the Bristol Green Partnership. We go to extreme lengths to be as environmentally compatible as possible.
We use a minimum of plastic within every aspect of our business. Products are presented in amber glass bottles with aluminium lids, and we work with suppliers who deliver their oils in aluminium canisters.
Plus, we reuse all of the ‘void fill’ packaging from our suppliers when we fulfil our orders online.
I have just received my first order from Wild As The Wind, plastic-free packaging, a lovely personal note and beautiful quality oils, what more could I ask for? Thank you.
Carly, Umberleigh, Devon
Rachel Wild, the founder of Wild As The Wind, has given many talks on working with essential oils in an environmentally supportive way. She is particularly well known for her talks on eco-friendly cleaning products, the first of which she presented to the Green Wedmore Group, which turned out to be one of her most ever enthusiastic crowds.
Rachel Wild is passionate about the removal of endocrine disrupting plastics and chemicals from our environment. She believes they are two of the most pervasive causes of immune dysfunction and illness among all living creatures on this beautiful planet.
There’s absolutely no need for plastics and synthetic chemicals, so why are we making them?
***Sadly, owing to supply chain difficulties, due to Corona Virus lock downs and the impact of Brexit, it has been impossible to buy plastic-free closures for a small number of our products. Nevertheless, most of our bottles still come with aluminium lids.
I’ve just received my order of Thieves Oil which arrived quickly and well packaged (like all of the orders from Rachel. And thankfully, unlike certain other retailers, the packaging is 99% recyclable.) As the website explains, there are so many uses for Thieves Oil, plus it smells lovely and is definitely an essential for every household! Love it!

Hi Rachel,
I have received my order today and I’m sooo glad I’m back to being able to use your no 2 oil again. Definitely noticed a difference in [facial skin] quality when I started using a different supplier once Wells market closed re Covid
I also love your mineral spritz spray & use it morning & night because it helps me get a better nights sleep.
Thank you again for the lovely oils and look forward to seeing you at Wells Market soon!
Kind regards, Sue, Axbridge, Somerset

Wild As The Wind Is Cruelty Free
Wild As The Wind will never use ingredients or sell products which have been tested on animals.
All of the Wild As The Wind products are Vegetarian and Vegan friendly.
Wild As The Wind is completely Cruelty Free
A keen awareness of the atrocious animal testing practices employed by big brand cosmetic and skincare companies, which still persists to this day, was very influential in Rachel Wild’s choice to get involved with the Body Shop in the 1990’s.
Tragically, when the Body Shop was sold to L’Oréal in 2006 all of the Body Shop integrity where social consciousness and animal welfare are concerned disintegrated instantly. In fact, many of the gains that were made in terms of animal cruelty reduction, have been lost. There has never been as much animal testing as there is today. Wild As The Wind devoutly stands against it.

About Wild As The Wind
Wild As The Wind was set up by Rachel Wild in 2017.
Having been a health writer for many years, Rachel Wild had seen new, cutting edge, medical research deviate further and further away from the kind of medicine currently being practised in the West.
It takes 17 years on average for new medical discoveries to filter down to healthcare delivery. Because new groundbreaking discoveries within medical research are being made at an ever-increasing pace, this means that the gap between what we know and what is being practised grows ever wider.
Rachel Wild became acutely aware that the more these new medical insights deviate from medical practice, the more imperative it is for us to take a greater responsibility for our own health. And, she knew that if she made things a little easier for people, then this is precisely what would start happening.
We have never had such privileged access to information which promises to be so transformational for our well-being. All the latest research is published in public formats, with a lot of it having been made available online.
However, because of the sheer volume of information published, with some of it conflicting, it isn’t easy for those without a medical background to navigate their way to the best resources.
This is why Rachel Wild felt compelled to set up the Wild As The Wind Information Website in order to help others make sense of the information available, so they could positively impact their health and improve the quality of their lives.
About Rachel Wild
Rachel Wild has led a ‘textured’ life. The seeds of Wild As The Wind were sown back in the early 1990’s when she went to South India to set up projects for the Trade Not Aid arm of the Body Shop. But it wasn’t until she had been a professional writer for many years that the idea of taking a more intimate and proactive approach to healthcare information delivery began to take shape. And, by the time Rachel realised the creation of a business like Wild As The Wind would allow her the voice she really needed to more positively impact people’s lives, the decision to proceed had pretty much made itself…

★★★★★ 5 Star Etsy Review :: Of course it came on time, as it has each of the half-dozen times I’ve ordered this happy juice for the skin and soul. [FACIAL OIL No. 2] But let’s talk about what really counts: The creator is a knowledgeable and generous person who is happy to answer your questions and provide suggestions.
And, the product is singular.
So do yourself some good and order a lovingly made product from a “good witch” and let her years of expertise wreak healing and harmony on your beautiful face.

Thank you for your fabulous products and customer support. Everything I have ever bought from you has been the best and I just love and appreciate how much information there is on your amazing website.
I use the following products, all of which work wonderfully for me:
As advised, I alternate between Facial Oil No 2 and Facial Oil No 8 for my facial skincare needs.
I also use Bakuchiol Oil for my facial skin.
I use Organic Frankincense Carteri Essential Oil and Cistus Essential Oil for my respiratory health as well as their aromatic qualities. I also use Organic Black Seed Oil and Organic Oregano Essential Oil for my longstanding respiratory issue.
I get so much pleasure from using your products and learning how best to use them. Nowadays, as I’m sure you know, it’s very helpful to find out about alternative ways of healing.

Hello,
My daughter, 56, has MS and is in a wheelchair now….Are there any of your products that can help?
Thank you,
Judy Vedder
Rachel Wild says
Hi Judy, thanks for your comment. I’m sorry to hear about your daughter. As I’m sure you know, MS is an autoimmune condition, which is inflammatory… so using anti-inflammatory essential oils would be really beneficial: https://wilddigital.co.uk/essential-oils-for-inflammation/ Also, taking Nigella Sativa Oil (organic, food grade), internally, would be really helpful: https://wildasthewind.com/product/organic-nigella-sativa-seed-oil/
Also, removing sources of environmental toxicity, including toxic relationships, chemicals, mould, wireless tech etc would be really beneficial, and then performing a good detox, and intermittent fasting would be a really good idea.
With love, Rachel x x x

Thank you so much for such a candid discussion at Buckfast Christmas Fayre today. I really appreciate your advice, guidance and support. Please can you inform me whether you provide any lectures or one to one discussions about essential oils and their assistance to our lives. I would really love to come to a workshop/lecture run by you. Kind regards, grateful thanks and very best wishes for the new year.

I would love to do talks / informal discussions, but I don’t have time to organise them, and people tend never to be free to attend at the same time. I will work harder to make these happen next year. Really good to meet you. Have a magical Christmas. x x x

Hi Rachel,
Just confirming that I would buy the Dr Bronner’s Castile soap from you. 🙂 I haven’t heard of it before, actually, but the products look ideal and, of course, I trust your guidance.
Rachel Wild says
Hi Carol, thanks so much for letting me know x x I think I’m going to do it. I won’t use anything else. Sorry to be so personal, but hopefully my candidness will help others… I developed Lichen Sclerosus when I entered Peri Menopause. It was horrendous! It cleared up completely when I stopped using anything but Dr. Bronner’s Castile Soap 🙂 Such a relief!!!
Hope all’s still going well x x x
