UK Skincare & Essential Oils
Wild As the Wind is a UK Skincare and Essential Oil company based just outside Bristol & the City of Bath, in sunny Somerset.
The location of Wild As the Wind is rendered somewhat irrelevant online, which means Wild as The Wind products are sold everywhere in the UK and Europe via this online shop.
However, we believe in thinking locally and acting globally, so Wild As The Wind plays a very active role within Somerset, and is proud to be part of the Bristol Green Capital initiative.
Wild As the Wind also has outlets in the City of Bath and the City of Wells at the Bath and Wells Markets.
About Wild As The Wind
Wild As The Wind was set up by Rachel Wild in 2017.
Having been a health writer for many years, Rachel Wild had seen new, cutting edge, medical research deviate further and further away from the kind of medicine which is being practiced in the West. She realised it takes, on average, 17 years for new medical discoveries to filter down and be adopted by medical practitioners.
Because new discoveries not only replace old modalities, but actually turn them on their head, she became increasingly aware an increasing amount of medical provisions are actually harming our health unnecessarily.
The more these new medical insights deviated from medical practice the more she realised she needed to become her own doctor.
Now that the deviation is so vast she felt compelled to set up Wild As The Wind to let everybody else know this too…
About Rachel Wild
Rachel Wild has led a ‘textured’ life. The seeds of Wild As The Wind were sown back in the early 1990’s when the newly qualified, Rachel Wild, (Massage Therapist), went to South India to set up projects for the Trade Not Aid arm of the Body Shop.
Wild As The Wind Is Cruelty Free
Wild As The Wind will never use ingredients or sell products which have been tested on animals.
All of the Wild As The Wind products are Vegetarian and Vegan friendly.
Wild As The Wind is completely Cruelty Free
A keen awareness of the atrocious animal testing practices employed by big brand cosmetic and skincare companies, which still persists to this day, was very influential in Rachel Wild’s choice to get involved with the Body Shop in the 1990’s.
Tragically, when the Body Shop was sold to L’Oréal in 2006 all of the Body Shop integrity where social consciousness and animal welfare are concerned disintegrated instantly. In fact, many of the gains that were made in terms of animal cruelty reduction, have been lost. There has never been as much animal testing as there is today. Wild As The Wind devoutly stands against it.
