*The following feedback from Tessa, which can also be found in the review section of this page, also supports the benefits of Organic Nigella Sativa Oil for heart health, particularly where heart rate is concerned:
A friend told me about Wild as the Wind Nigella Sativa and it ‘felt’ right. I’m now on my third bottle and quite astonished at how useful it is. I started a heart problem a year ago. My heart would thump so hard when I lay on my left side in bed that it felt as though it was bruising my ribs. Nigella Sativa has stopped it! I take it daily for about a week (the problem usually stops on the first day) and then stop it for a couple of weeks. Sometimes I forget but the heart thing starts again and reminds me to take some more. It is surprisingly easy to take and I also love to put it on my face occasionally. It makes my skin feel amazing. Can’t wait to try some more products. Rachel is so knowledgeable I have learnt such a lot from her website and blogs. Thank you so much

Detoxification With Organic Nigella Sativa Oil
This review summarized several in vivo and in vitro studies in order to realize the role of N. sativa and its bioactive component, TQ, in inhibition of food toxins related toxicities in different tissues. Heavy metals, antibiotics residue, food processing toxicants, mycotoxins and food additives are examples of natural and chemical toxic agents in foods that can be prevented by N. sativa and TQ. N. sativa and its bioactive components could protect different tissues against food toxins through numerous mechanisms as well as free radical scavenging, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, amelioration in the disturbed levels of biochemical indicators, modulation of antioxidant defense systems, prevention of apoptosis and controlling effects on genes expression, and different signaling pathways. N. sativa has also ability to protect different organs and tissues such as kidney, liver, gastrointestinal, lung, heart, blood, brain, and reproductive system against toxins. In conclusion, based on the present review, N. sativa has a wide spectrum of protective activities against food toxicants induced toxicities. Therefore, N. sativa can be introduced as a supplement in the daily diet of individuals for inhibition of food toxins side effects.

Organic Nigella Sativa Oil & Neurological Health
This review article summarized in vitro and in vivo studies in order to report the effects of NS and its active constituents on the nervous system. According to different studies it seems that NS can affect the nervous system and related diseases. In these studies, aqueous, alcoholic and hydro-alcoholic extracts and NSO has been considered. It should be mentioned that TQ is seen to be the most useful known element of NS and can be regarded as a useful agent in the treatment of diseases of the nervous system. The results of several studies have shown that this plant can improve memory impairment, anxiety, depression, epilepsy, neurotoxicity, neurodegeneration and pain. In addition, based on the current review, it is concluded that NS, through inhibition of acetylcholinestrase enzyme and particularly due to its antioxidative effects improves nervous system diseases. It is also suggested that NS has interactions with the GABA, opioid and NO system. However, a few studies confirmed the beneficial effects of NS on epilepsy and seizures in children.

Nigella Sativa Seed Oil Historical Benefits
Nigella sativa, medicinal plant. Nigella sativa (Fam. Ranunculaceae), native of the Mediterranean region, has been used as food, aromatic or therapeutic plant since Antiquity. Its seeds were found in Pharaoh Tutankhamen’s tomb (1325 BC), having the role of assisting the Pharaoh when he passed on into the afterlife (AL-BUKHARI, 1976). Species of Nigella genus were described and recommended for use in alimentation and medicine by the philosophers of ancient Greece and Rome. The most valuable species is Nigella sativa, known under different names at different peoples: git (ancient Greece); melanthion, melanthium, melaspermon (ancient Rome), black cumin, black seeds or barakka (countries from the United Kingdom) a/o. Nigella sativa was described in their works by Cato, Hippocrates, Dioscorides, Plinius, Palladium, and Nigella aristata by Dioscorides (DIOSCORIDES, 1529; PLINIUS SECUNDUS, 1668; FRAAS, 1845; LENZ, 1859).
In the Holy Quran, it is stated that Prophet Muhammad said: “Use the Black Seed for indeed, it is a cure for every disease except death” (AL-BUKHARI, 1976; SHARMA et al., 2009). Ibn Sina, known under the name of AVICENNA (980-1037) in “The Canon of Medicine”, included this species among the natural drugs “Tibb-e-Nahavi”, “Medicine of the Prophet” (MANNAN & KAHVIC, 2010). In the characterization of this species, features of the actual adaptogenic species are mentioned: “the seeds stimulate the body’s energy and help recovery from fatigue and dispiritedness”, the black seeds being used for healing all diseases. In traditional medicine, the barakka seeds are used for their properties: carminative, aromatic, stimulant, diuretic, anthelmintic, galactagogue and diaphoretic. They are used as a condiment in curries. Tincture prepared from seeds is recommended in indigestion cases, the loss of appetite, diarrhoea, dropsy, amenorrhea and dysmenorrhoea, as well as against worms and in cutaneous eruption. The oil obtained from seeds has antiseptic properties.

A single dose is comprised of 45 drops of Organic Nigella Sativa Seed Oil, which equals half a level teaspoon.

With Brasil Nuts:
Alternatively, place the 1/2 teaspoon of oil into your mouth, and then add 3 or 4 Brazil Nuts. Chew on the nuts until completely broken down, and then swallow.

*For optimal thyroid health, we also need good levels of iodine and magnesium.

Cautions & Contraindications
The chances of an adverse reaction are negligible.
However, always perform a patch test on the inside skin of your forearm before applying Black Seed Oil more broadly on your body, or before consuming Black Seed Oil internally.
Black Seed Oil may cause side effects in people with food intolerances and those with sensitive skin conditions, as well as those on certain prescription medications. The latter group need to refer to the contraindications list which accompany their prescription drugs before using this oil internally.
Because Black Seed Oil has not been tested on pregnant women it’s use is not recommended during pregnancy.
For those with delicate skin, who wish to use Organic Nigella Sativa Oil topically, it’s best to use Organic Black Seed Oil diluted with another healing carrier oil, like Organic Sweet Almond Oil. A ratio of 50:50 is ideal in most cases.
If you have sensitive skin, or if you do a lot of sun bathing, it is always advisable to perform a patch test on the soft skin on the inside of your forearm, especially before using carrier oils on your face.
Perform A Patch Test
Place a drop or two of Wild As The Wind oil on your inner forearm, making sure to massage it well into your skin.
A severe reaction will occur within ten minutes, but it may take 24 hours for milder intolerances to emerge.
Look for signs of Urticaria, (aka Hives), discolouration, redness, dryness, or feelings of irritation / itchiness.
If you experience none of these, you will be safe to use your Wild As The Wind oil elsewhere on your body, including your face.
Nevertheless, always avoid sensitive areas and inside your ears unless otherwise instructed by your health professional. This is especially important if you use your Wild As The Wind oil as a carrier oil for a number of Organic Essential Oils.

I had researched Nigella Sativa oil on your site and was impressed by its array of benefits and have, myself, been taking it for the past few months. I was hoping it might help with inflammation, heartburn, general mood/anxiety, immunity support, hair loss and general wellbeing.
I don’t know if it’s the NS Oil or other things I’m doing but I do generally feel much better after taking it. I’ve had no colds or sniffles either.
My elderly parents were struggling with stubborn coughs and tummy problems (gastritis) and since I had recommended this oil (and Kefir) – they both also have seen improvements in both conditions. We’ve all been taking 1/2 teaspoon per day with warm water.
Sarah H. (verified owner) –
Thank you for your recommended remedy for my face eczema, which has responded really well to the internal consumption of nigella sativa & sweet orange & the external application of calendula & ease oil.
I’m so pleased with the results; it has made a big difference to my skin.

I met you a few months ago when you were at the Bridport market. I get rosacea with spots on my cheeks, and you recommended your Organic Nigella Sativa Seed Oil for my gut (which has done wonders for my constipation), and you also recommended your facial oil number 2 which has helped reduce the amount of spots and is much better than the strong, harsh gel my doctor had prescribed. This is why I have ordered these two products again, plus I thought I would order your facial oil number 8 as well, as I am often out in the sun as I do gardening jobs.

Greetings all, I have Periphery Neuropathy, until recently there has been very little research on this debilitating disease, after a long chat with the lovely and very knowledgable Rachel she suggested I try her organic Nigella Sativa, I received my bottle approx 5 days ago, I’m taking 1/2 a teaspoon a day in warm water and already I’m noticing a difference in my body, it’s difficult for me to say what has changed, but hey I’ll keep you posted, thank you so much X

Since taking Nigella Satvia and Copaiba Oils our dog Alfie is so much happier and lively. Before he didn’t even look up when someone came to the door and now is he is eager to greet everyone, he is also up and ready to go for a walk anytime. Thanks Rachel long may it last!
Rachel Wild –

I absolutely love this Nigella Sativa oil – I have been taking this orally for about 9 mths for digestive issues, mainly constipation and I am now as regular as clockwork. I also use it externally for any skin issues – marvellous product.
Jude Ferguson (verified owner) –
I used this oil originally to address digestive issues along with Thieves Oil as recommended by Rachel, it helped the immediate issues.
I kept taking for a while and then started forgetting!
Just started taking orally again as noticed all a bit out of balance.
Am going to try it topically now too on various dry patches which never truly go away. I am sure it will help as so effective last time.
I also use Rachel’s facial oils which are fabulous!
Rachel Wild –
Thanks so much Jude. I’m really glad this wonderful oil helps you so much. This year’s batch is just amazing! x x x x x

We wanted to prepare for the possible exam stress that my son may endure, as he has IBS. Rachel was so helpful and informative when I looked for advice with this. It arrived in time and was really effective. He didn’t mind the taste either which was a bonus! I love the herby aroma.

I am 78 years old and have intermittent flare up’s of Diverticulitis. My daughter gave me a bottle of Nigella Sativia Oil which she purchased from Rachel’s “Wild as the wind” website. I take the recommended dose. Within 24 hours the pain and discomfort has passed. I don’t find it necessary to use it every day. The knowledge that I am using a natural quality product is of great comfort to me. This is just one of the “Wild as the Wind” products that is essential to my everyday living. Thanks to my daughter for finding this site and thank you Rachel for your Wonderful, caring products.

Finding Rachel was a real answer to a prayer. I have suffered with digestive problems for many years and could not find anything that would be of help after having tried different solutions. Have now been taking NIgella Sativa internally for over a month and already notice that my body feels much better especially in the morning. I would recommend it to anyone who like me had lost hope of finding a remedy and also found Rachel to be most knowledgeable and ready to help. I now want to try her other oils. Thanks so much for helping me Rachel.

I suffered with regular infections of thrush and internal issues which have all cleared. I think it’s also helped to reduce inflammation within my body and I’m feeling great. Amazing product

I am now on my 4th bottle of 250ml black nigella seed oil, which I take internally (0.25ml) first thing in the morning. I have suffered from IBS for the past 30+ years. Since taking the oil, not only has it regulated my metabolism but has removed any IBS symptoms of cramps and bloating. Recently my partner had an operation on his foot and I have been massaging it into the wound. His consultant has commented how well it is healing. I would encourage you to try this oil for yourself (you’ll either love or hate the taste) – I personally don’t like it so it is testament to the value I hold for it, which enables me to carry on taking it daily as I do!
Rachel Wild –
Oh Amanada, I’m so sorry you don’t like the taste! It’s because it’s so potent… only the weak and less effective oils taste insipid. But, I’m so glad that it is helping you and your husband so much. (Like you I wish more people knew how life-changing this oil can be. So many people are taking toxic drugs that don’t work, which are costing them their health and the taxpayer a fortune… when they could simply be taking this!) Thanks so much for sharing your story. Hopefully it’ll really help others realise how potent Nigella Sativa Oil is. x x x x

I started consuming Nigella Sativa seed oil mainly as I was informed by a friend how good it was as an anti inflammatory for relieving pain. I tried different brands until I discovered Wild As the Wind. I won’t use another now as this works the best for me. I also rub it directly on to aching muscles or wherever I get a rash or itch and it soothes it straight away. It boosts the immune system, soothes the digestive system, promotes cardiovascular health….. there are so many health benefits to this oil, what can’t it do? ????

Amazing product, as always from Rachel.
This product has really helped me manage menopausal symptoms and I wasn’t really taking it for that !! Brain fog, flushes and mood swings all amazingly reduced and almost disappeared , skin feels and looks better and internal issues so much better . Thanks Rachel

This is great news. I’m so pleased for you. And, of course, it’s protecting you from tissue damage from spike proteins as well: https://www.wilddigital.co.uk/food-grade-organic-nigella-sativa-oil-for-heart-health/ It’s a win, win, win! x x x

I have a small patch of sun damage on my nose which flakes and sometimes bleeds. In the past the doctor has prescribed Diclofenac sodium gel. It burns the patch of affected skin and creates a nasty scab which then falls off – not pleasant especially on your face! This time when the patch of damage appeared I used Nigella Sativa oil with some frankincense oil diluted in it and applied every day. The patch has gone and there was no nasty burning or scabbing involved!! Really grateful for the incredible information which Rachel provides on wilddigital.co.uk to enable us to use these incredibly oils for so many things!

I have had this product for a couple of weeks now and I am taking it internally as well as topically. The taste is ok, I just put it in water and don’t find it a problem. Waiting to see it’s long term benefits but if it does what evidence suggests it will be worth giving it a bit of time. Rachel left a lovely handwritten note within my order and it’s a nice personnel touch. Good product and prompt delivery.

Thanks very much for your feedback John. It’s very much appreciated. I’d be very interested to know what the longer term benefits of taking Nigella Sativa are for you. (I am also very curious to know what prompted you to start taking it.) I hope you will let me know when the outcome is more in evidence. Thanks again, Rachel.
