Gurjum Balsam Essential Oil Energetic Properties
The energetic healing properties of plants and trees are a reflection of how they grow and inhabit their environment.
The Dipterocarpus turbinatus tree grows up to 50m to 60m in height when fully mature. Their trunks are free of branches until two thirds of the way up, after which a thick cauliflower canopy emerges.
Seedlings of this tree need a good amount of shade until established at over 1m in height. They cannot tolerate direct sunlight through this first phase of their life, which usually lasts two years.
The Gurjun tree is a flowering tree. Blooms are elegant, and five pronged in shape. The flowers are white, with a deep pink central line of colour reaching out from the centre to the end of each elongated, slender petal. The flower seems to twist on its axis instead of growing directly outward.
The seeds are robust balls with two raised wings, which curve outward toward the tip.
This is an elegant tree, with delicate flowers, and an ingenious method of scattering its seeds without the need of birds or animals. It’s canopy, which reaches high into the sky, often standing above the other trees, provides the shade needed for new trees to start their way into the world.
This is a very self-contained and self-reliant tree, and even though sensitive and vulnerable, at certain phases in its development, it has the wherewithal to succeed. The energy is that of a creative and inspired force, a lot like the sensitive artist type who creates from their own wellspring of imagination and inspiration, bringing beauty and new insight into the world.
Working energetically with Gurjum Essential Oil can help to nurture the creative potential within those of an artistic or inventive disposition, giving them the courage, support and fortitude needed to bring their visionary insights into the world.
It helps to soothe the volatility of an artistic temperament, and cool the flames of frustration, ire and heartbreak in relation to an unjust, and often brutish world. It calls us back to a state of balance and resilience, where we can bring our giftedness out in to the world.
