Description
Ylang Ylang Complete Essential Oil
Ylang Ylang Complete Aromatherapy Oil is the most diverse form of Ylang Ylang Essential Oil available. As the name suggests it is the most replete version of Ylang Ylang Essential Oil there is.
The process of distillation used to extract the essential oils from Ylang Ylang flowers takes 14 hours, and four different draughts of Ylang Ylang Essential Oil are extracted at different stages of the process. Ylang Ylang Extra Essential Oil is the first draught of essential oil taken via this process. After this there are three more draughts of essential oil extracted, known as:
- Ylang Ylang I Essential Oil
- Ylang Ylang II Essential Oil
- Ylang Ylang III Essential Oil
Ylang Ylang Complete Essential Oil is a combination of all four draughts taken at the differing junctures of extraction, which is what makes it the most complex of all Ylang Ylang Essential Oils.
Then there is Cananga Essential Oil!
Cananga Essential Oil is made from the same species of plant as those used to make Ylang Ylang Essential oil, but, from a slightly different variety.
Cananga Essential Oil is even very aromatically similar to Ylang Ylang Essential Oil… it’s essentially just a more toned down version of the same scent, which is preferred by some.
But, the real beauty of Cananga Essential Oil is it’s bountiful anti-inflammatory abilities, which equal those of Copaiba Essential oil…
This following feedback about Copaiba Balsam Essential Oil and Cananga Essential Oil, (originally submitted via the review section of the Cananga Essential Oil page), vouches for the efficacy of both aromatherapy oils, but defines the subtle differences.
Cananga Essential Oil is a fantastic addition to [our] ‘Wild’ essential oil collection. It is very helpful for pain relief just like copaibia but with an uplifting mood effect as an added bonus for us.
The pain my wife suffers from is early osteoporosis and a frozen shoulder, I have a stiff hip that manifests after too much physical hard work.
My wife has really appreciated the massage oil, which has really aided her frozen shoulder, either made with 2 drops of copaibia essential oil or cananga essential oil. Both are as equally good as each other.
Also, when taken orally, 2 drops morning and night, we found that the copaibia essential oil is more calming emotionally whereas the cananga essential oil provides more of an up mood.
Thank you, again, RachelFor: Amie, Dorchester, Dorset
Just like Cananga Essential Oil, Copaiba Balsam Essential Oil interacts with our Endocannabinoid system, pairing itself with the CB2 receptors located in our peripheral organs and immune system, particularly in the digestive track.
Ylang Ylang Complete Essential Oil Adulteration
Gurjum Essential Oil is sometimes used as an adulterant of Ylang Ylang Essential Oil, particularly the more expensive varieties, like Ylang Ylang Extra Essential Oil and Ylang Ylang Complete Essential Oil.
If you buy an adulterated Ylang Ylang Essential Oil, then you would do well to buy one that is cut with Gurjum Essential Oil. Gurjum Aromatherapy Oil is a much less expensive oil, but it is an amazingly healing one, with a lovely aroma.
In addition, the less expensive versions of Ylang Ylang Essential Oil are often used to dilute Ylang Ylang Complete Essential Oil further than it should be. Higher concentrations of the less valuable versions of Ylang Ylang Essential Oil, like Ylang Ylang III Essential Oil and Ylang Ylang II Essential Oil, will mean that there’s less Ylang Ylang Extra Essential Oil and Ylang Ylang I Essential Oil in the mix. This will produce an aromatically inferior aromatherapy oil in terms of complexity and strength, which is also a less potent healer than it should be.
However, this is not as bad as it gets by any means… Sadly, much more deplorable methods of adulterating essential oils for profit are very common. Often synthetic isolates and other toxic substances are used, rendering the once beautiful, healing essential oils, dangerous and potentially poisonous.
Ylang Ylang Complete Essential Oil Aroma
Ylang Ylang Complete Essential Oil possesses an intoxicating, exotic, seductive floral aroma. It is one of the most popular essential oils used for diffusion.
Ylang Ylang Complete Essential Oil is a base to middle note in perfumery, just like all of the other Ylang Ylang Essential Oils. Although it is mentioned on all of the other Ylang Ylang Essential Oil pages that Ylang Ylang is a key perfumery ingredient in Chanel No. 5, there’s little doubt in my mind that Chanel use Ylang Ylang Extra Essential Oil rather than any other version for this purpose. If this is not the case, then they will almost certainly use Ylang Ylang Complete Essential Oil.
