Dead Sea Mud

Wild As The Wind Dead Sea Mud provides many of the same benefits as Wild As The Wind Mineral Spritz, but in a more concentrated way. Wild As The Wind Dead Sea Mud revives dry and ageing skin, smoothing and nourishing it, and ultimately leaving it looking and feeling a lot healthier. Even after one face mask with Wild As The Wind Dead Sea Mud the appearance of your skin will be improved. It will look and feel rejuvenated, plumper, softer and silkier to the touch.

Wild As The Wind Dead Sea Mud For Detoxification

All muds and clays have the ability to draw toxins from our bodies. Using Dead Sea Mud over your abdomen will help to draw toxins from around your major organs. We eliminate 40% of our body waste through our skin, so using muds and clays to help draw these toxins to the surface is very helpful. Dry brushing before applying Wild As The Wind Dead Sea Mud would also be beneficial.

Wild As The Wind Dead Sea Mud For Dry Skin

Many of us develop dry, irritated skin in the winter time, especially around our noses and mouths. Wild As The Wind Dead Sea Mud is excellent for reducing both the dryness of your skin as well as easing the irritation.

Dead Sea Mud is full of nutrients from ancient sources. It is particularly high in constituents like Magnesium, which so many of us are deficient in.

One of the signs of Magnesium deficiency is dry skin. Because Dead Sea Mud delivers a good deal of Magnesium to our complexions, when we do a face mask for 15 to 20 minutes, this also feeds our skin with the nutrients it often needs, whilst also drawing out toxins.

Dead Sea Mud For Acne, Eczema & Psoriasis

Dead Sea Mud has been traditionally used to alleviate the symptoms of Eczema and Psoriasis. However, as with nearly all skin problems, these conditions are a consequence of a malfunctioning immune system. Eczema and Psoriasis both have an autoimmune, element to them as they are both inflammatory.

Acne is also an inflammatory condition.

Whilst topical preparations can provide relief and dramatically improve appearances, systemic issues also need to be dealt with at a systemic level. So, a two pronged approach is necessary to achieve lasting results, and prevent future occurrences of skin disorders such as Eczema and Psoriasis etc.

Please read Mast Cell Activation Syndrome for more information.

Wild As The Wind Dead Sea Mud can be used as part of the systemic remedy for Acne, Eczema and Psoriasis as it delivers very important nutrients into our bodies. But, unless we remove the source of the issue, then reoccurrences are inevitable.

Thankfully, if we reverse engineer the root causes of our skin conditions, and eliminate the precursors, we can look forward to remedying most skin conditions for good.

If scarring and discolouration are an issue, then you may want to consider using FACIAL OIL No. 2 or FACIAL OIL No. 8 to improve the appearance of facial blemishes.

If bodily blemishes are an issue, then Body Oil No. 8 may be preferred.

Dead Sea Mud For Infected Skin

Sometimes there is a deeper problem to dry patches of skin which appear on our faces. They can often be a sign of poor diet, and excessive stress, both of which need addressing. But they can also have some kind of infection at their root.

Fungal infections can appear on our faces, and viral infections, like Herpes, can also appear on our faces and bodily skin.

Plus, there are many bacterial infections which can cause problems.

Dead Sea Mud can be used in conjunction with Thieves Oil 2020 if an infection is present. Simply apply Thieves Oil 2020 to the affected area after doing a Dead Sea Face mask, and reapply Thieves Oil 2020 to the area up to five times a day until the skin irritation and infection disappears. Doing daily Dead Sea Face masks for a few days is usually enough to see off a lot of irritable skin issues.

Do not apply Dead Sea Mud to Herpes / cold sore if a scab has appeared. Dead Sea Mud can cause  burning sensation / pain when applied to broken skin. It is effectively like putting ‘salt in the wound’.

Healing Your Immunity

However, all of these issues indicate an underlying problem with regards a depleted immune system, which needs rectifying. Improving your diet and attending to your digestive health, whilst also reducing stress, should help to remedy the root cause. (Follow the link for more information on how to do this.)

Why Is Dead Sea Mud So Beneficial?

Wild As The Wind Dead Sea Mud is made from ancient biomass which has formed into an incredibly silky, mineral-dense mud. Because it has been submerged in the Dead Sea for all of this time, it has been shielded from pollutants for thousands of years.

Dead Sea Mud Vs Sunshine

Please be aware Wild As The Wind advocates reducing stress, improving diet and sunbathing as some of the best cures for things like Psoriasis. It is very important to make good use of the summer, exposing all areas of your body, especially those affected by Psoriasis, to the sun’s rays. The sun enables us to make the all-important hormone Vitamin D (yes, it’s a hormone!), and is critical for other reasons. We need daily early morning sun exposure to set our Circadian Rhythms and for the natural EMF’s it emits.

Safe Sun Exposure

It is very important to build up slowly to the sun’s healing rays. Half an hour of sun exposure, for as many parts of your body as possible, every day from the beginning of April all the way through to October, will condition your skin to the exposure, without the need for the use of toxic sun creams. Sunscreens are a big contributor to toxins in the body, and have been cited as a leading cause of skin cancer.

Carrier Oils For Skin Protection

All carrier oils provide some protection from the sun’s rays, but Raspberry Seed Oil is possibly your safest bet…? Raspberry Seed Oil is thought to provide anywhere between 28 SPF and 50 SPF depending on where it comes from.

All natural carrier oils have a natural SPF value, however some are very low, and all are ‘unofficial’. This is because no two natural carrier oils of the same type will be the same from year to year, or region to region. The quality of carrier oils differs depending on a lot of factors, including the way oils are extracted from plant matter as well as the way in which the plants are grown. The quality of plant material is determined by things like soil quality, the amount of sunlight and rain the plants are exposed to, and the altitude they are grown at etc. These things differ year on year, and from one region to another. How an oil is expressed from the plant matter is also very important. Cold pressed oils retain nutrients, whereas, oils extracted where heat is used in the process will be damaged. Carrier oils can, thus, be dramatically different even if they are from the same plant genus.

Dead Sea Mud Mask

Wild As The Wind Dead Sea Mud Testimonials

I used to have a really unsightly red rash all around my nose and upper lip every winter. Bumps, like emerging spots, would cluster within the reddened skin. Stress and frustrations would make them ten times worse. I tried lots of different ointments and creams that promised good results but none of them worked. The best I could do was cover it all up with foundation, but I think this just made it worse in the long run… Then I discovered Dead Sea Mud. It worked wonders. I couldn’t believe how fast it would clear the rash… and it cleared it completely…. It only takes two or three intensive applications of the mud before the rash just goes. I apply it in the evenings for two or three days on the trot and then the rash just fades away.

My daughter and I had a pamper night and the Dead Sea face mask was amazing. My face felt baby soft afterwards and it was easy to use.

Using Dead Sea Mud

It is possible to apply Dead Sea Mud to most parts of the body. However, avoid eyes, intimate areas and ears. Use sparingly when applying to large parts of your body.

If your Dead Sea Mud is a little too dry to spread thinly over your skin, add a little pre-boiled water or distilled water to it to aid with application.

Rinse hands after application.

Shower off after the mud has had a chance to dry out fully. (Usually 15 to 20 minutes.)

Avoid contact with clothes, furniture and towels etc as Dead Sea Mud will permanently stain.

Using Dead Sea Mud As A Face Mask

Using Dead Sea Mud as a Face Mask couldn’t be easier. Just apply the mud as you would a face cream. Use your index finger to lift some Dead Sea Mud from the pot, and then gently smear it in smooth circular motions over your face. Avoid eyes, lips and hair. Rinse hands after application.

Leave to dry for about 15 to 20 minutes.

Once completely dry, rinse off the Dead Sea Mud with warm water.

Using a sponge or cloth is not advised as Dead Sea Mud will permanently stain. However, using a face cloth is an ideal way of removing the mud. Simply buy a dark-coloured, cotton face cloth for this purpose.

Precautions & General Information

Avoid direct and indirect contact with eyes. Dead Sea Mud is inert and non-toxic, but it can smart when used on broken skin. Those with skin conditions may find this too painful. If so, simply rinse off with warm water and moisturise as normal. Your skin will calm down quickly after removal and there will be no need to seek medical attention.

Lovely, quality product. Used on my face, could feel it working its magic as it dried. My face feels like it’s had a detox. Thank you Rachel…another wonderful treatment! Xx

  2. Ali (verified owner)

Having spent some time at The Dead Sea to treat a mild psoriasis conditon, I was always disappointed in the quality of the Dead Sea products sold overseas. I have to say that Rachel’s Dead Sea Mud is unequivically as close to the real thing as possible. A really excellent healing and restorative product!
