Each soul enters so that it may make its paths straight. For they alone who walk the straight and narrow way may know themselves to be themselves, and yet one with the Creative Forces.
Edgar Cacye Reading: 2021-1
Health is an Anglo Saxon word meaning “whole”. There is so much wisdom in this. When we know ourselves completely, and can accept and integrate all of that knowledge into being who we are, without judgement or criticism, then we are well on the way to enlightenment… and rude health.
When we do this in the knowledge that all is Love, and we attune to this loving creative energy, then we grow even closer to the Truth of all existence.
What I have written above is just a different way of saying what Edgar Cayce has said in the quote I have duplicated at the beginning of the article.
I reference a lot of quotes from Edgar Cayce within this article. Edgar Cayce is considered the most accurate psychic to have ever lived. He was devoutly spiritual, and his life story is as compelling as it is exceptional. I recommend everyone read his biography.
Universal Law – The Roadmap To Natural Health
You grow to heaven, you don’t go to heaven. It is within your own conscience that you grow there.
Edgar Cayce Reading :: 3409-1
We “grow to heaven” by simply living in accord with Universal Law. By attuning with it, and allowing it to guide our choices. By allowing it to be our conscience, or consciousness.
Ultimately, we do this by allowing ourselves to feel our answers, rather than reasoning our answers, to the propositions and opportunities presented to us in life.
Allowing, rather than forcing, is the way forward. We need to consciously give ourselves permission to feel what the most appropriate, or healthy, course of action is for us. Permission to enjoy, feel fulfilled… to ultimately choose Love and Truth.
And, the ultimate truth is that there is only one truth.
It couldn’t be simpler than that…
Complexity Is A Lie
The Law Of Reciprocity is an ample illustration of the simplicity of Universal Law:
In giving one receives. In giving one acquires. In giving love comes the fulfillment of desire, guided, and directed, in the ways that bring perfect understanding of self as related to the universal, all powerful, all guiding, all divine influence in life–or it is life.
Edgar Cayce
Our actions are our rewards, but the Universe also seeks to reciprocate and sustain. So often, whilst enjoying expansive feelings of fulfilment, and oneness, in the process of sharing with others, Life also seeks to deliver experiences unto the giver, to edify, fortify and uplift the individual.
Simplicity is the mechanism behind all things True and Loving. These things are pure, without embellishment, and are given unconditionally. They are what they are, and are available in their purest form, for all.
There are no contracts, no clauses, no small print, no prerequisites… a simple willingness to be open to these forces is enough to gain access to them.
Life Is Not So Simple – Truth & Love Are Not Very Much In Evidence
Sadly, commercial interests often prefer to withhold rather than practice the Law Of Reciprocity…
Have you ever read the user agreements attached to things like Facebook or Instagram?
No?
Why ever not?
Have you got a multitude of better things to do than wade through 80+ pages of legalise?
Yes, of course you have… I know I have!
And, whilst tech companies have a legal obligation to create user and privacy agreements, there’s no doubt they are using them to their own advantage… making them overly complicated, knowing that we won’t bother to read them… getting us to sign away our rights by obfuscating the reasons why we should be protecting them with every ounce of our being.
‘Their’ all-pervasive, data gathering technologies have already stripped the Chinese of all of their privacy, and we are not far behind. The outcomes are gravely concerning.
But, sadly, we are only too happy to click ”I agree” to some of the most scandalous surrendering of our civil liberties in human history, because there’s no way we are ever going to read all of that baffling information prior to handing over permissions for we know not what…
The sad reality is the tech industry, and largely our other professions, are ever more in service to making profits rather than being in service to the people they are meant to serve. Many have transgressed a sacred line and are forsaking humanity for material wealth, placing profit before people like never before.
Tragically, it is now folly on our part to trust any of them unquestioningly… including technical, financial, legal and medical institutions… even our government…
Can You Understand Your Diagnosis?
Have you ever wondered why doctors and solicitors use an entirely different language to the rest of us?
Well, the answer is simple… as the truth always is…
Whilst there’s a need to create a lot of new words to describe the work these professionals do, there’s no question that some of the language they use is to make them seem more important, whilst also allowing them to retain exclusivity over their domain… and, the less you know in relation to their knowledge, the more you are likely going to have to pay if you need their help…
All the ‘professions’ have employed these tactics to ensure they can charge a premium.
Things could be a whole lot simpler, but that would limit the potential to exploit the general populace for profit. So, in the ceaseless grasping at profit, things grow increasingly convoluted… and, further away from the truth of our existence…
We become less whole… less healthy…
The results are everywhere to be seen.
Universal Law Is Simple
There’s no highfalutin postulations within Universal Law. Everything is easy and straightforward. It’s a breath of fresh air in our overly complicated lives.
But, just because it’s simple doesn’t mean it can’t do the job! No matter how complex our world, Universal Law applies to it all.
Universal Law is, in fact, our ticket to freedom from all of the confusion we feel in this hi-tech, overly-sophisticated, beguiling world… A world in which our sense of humanity and our spiritual inclinations seemingly have a decreasing air supply.
We are paying a huge toll for efficiency and a sense of safety, and others are profiting egregiously from our desire to feel protected and to live a convenient life… Worse still, the price is being exacted for the illusion of safety, which really doesn’t exist. The truth is, we all get sick and die at some point, and bad things happen to good people.
Now, more than ever, we need to find the breathing space to explore our spiritual and human path, and to realise if we live in accord with Universal Law there is an inherent order to how things will play out… We need to remember that Universal Law possesses a different form of safety and convenience, which don’t quash the wonder of possibility that much of our desperate desire for safety tends to destroy…
But, it would be an impoverishment of imagination to think that this is all about a ‘like for like’ trade. It is nothing of the sort!
Universal Law offers us something much more valuable than a feeble false sense of security. It promises to provide us with an immense sense of fulfilment that we don’t get from our reticence to take risks… And, it offers us a profound appreciation for the ‘unseen’ forces within our lives, which grow ever-more elusive in our increasingly materialistically focussed drudgery.
It promises a world where everything is possible. A world where there is absolutely everything to play for!
The Law Of Attraction
The Law Of Attraction is one such Universal Law. It relates to the energetic vibration at which we resonate, and means that we energetically attract those things which vibrate at the right frequencies for us.
It also means that if we shift our vibration we will attract different things, which, incidentally, is only one way in which Universal Law can be applied to offer inherent protections… the big difference being you have the power to influence outcomes yourself, instead of handing over your power and money to others to remain safe.
Plus, prevention is always better than cure, so the knowledge you can influence outcomes by living more in accord with the real Truth of life means that you can avert outcomes which do not serve you. All you need to do is be willing to learn the lessons life is showing you and shift your energetic frequencies accordingly.
Law Of Cause & Effect
The Law Of Cause & Effect is an exquisite example of how simple Universal Law is.
And, of course, we all know the basic principle of what this law represents… we all know it means that if we choose to do something, then there will be a consequence of that choice. One action attracts a corresponding action.
It’s sublimely simple!
Some refer to the Law Of Cause & Effect as the Law Of Karma…
Law Of Karma
KARMA is rather the lack of living to that KNOWN to do! As ye would be forgiven, so forgive in others. THAT is the manner to meet karma.
Edgar Cayce reading: 2271-1
The Law Of Karma is one of the Laws which is oft misunderstood. Although, to be honest, there seems to be an incredible will, on the part of so many, to obfuscate the true meaning of all Universal Laws… to the extent that a lot of them are misrepresented and ignored.
Universal Law requires discipline (from the word disciple), and there’s quite a few of us who have ours fingers in our ears, whilst stamping our feet, yelling “La la la la la la la la la…!” in an effort to avoid that little outcome! (They haven’t yet realised that discipline equals freedom.)
Sadly, the Law Of Karma, is often perceived as the Law Of Punishment… however, it is anything but. There is no such Law Of Punishment and never will be.
The Law Of Karma is more aptly perceived as the Law Of What The Universe Is Going To Do In Response To Your Choices. We are in co-creation with That Which Creates All. This is why Life is our Mirror. What we create reflects back to us who we are. This is how we, quite literally, create our own reality.
So, when we make a choice that is unhealthy for us as an individual… one that isn’t based on Truth or Love, and is at odds with Universal Law, then the Universe, whilst possibly rolling it’s eyes and tutting, (not really!), will realise we have much to learn to enable us to make better choices.
But, the Universe does NOT punish us. However, there will inevitably be consequences of the decisions we make, which will need to be worked through.
Nevertheless, if we recognise our mistake, (because our actions feel all wrong), then we can opt to forgive ourselves for acting out of sync with our true nature, and recommit to being true to ourselves once more. No punishment is necessary! The feeling we get when we make unhealthy choices is bad enough in itself.
This recognition (for which the literal translation is: raising to consciousness again), of having made an unhealthy choice, based on feeling out of sorts afterwards, is the process through which we learn our life lessons. It’s a healthy process.
Mistakes often teach us an awful lot more than getting things right!
The more out of accord the decisions we make are, in relation to our True Selves, the more painful the experience will be. Facing up to those choices, by working through the ramifications, can often be excruciating. Who needs to be punished when a bad decision feels so bloody awful? Isn’t that punishment enough!?!?
The Law Of Karma is a resounding confirmation that Life is on our side! Life, in it’s Abundance and Love for us, provides us with the experiences we need to navigate our way back to our True Selves. And, that course is marked by the series of choices we make, which bring us ever closer to our True Intent.
Life, or The Universe, or That Which Creates All, will, ever-lovingly, present us with opportunities to see the error of our ways, so that we may remedy them by changing our minds and making new decisions. Decisions which are more in accord with who we really are… and are more in accord with Universal Law.
The Universe will do this whilst observing the fundamental Law Of Free Will.
We all have 100% Free Will to remain as stupid as we like and make as many ugly choices as we want… never evolving as an individual, and never moving closer to a state of enlightenment… But we will remain in a cycle of Karma until we decide to wake up! And, that means we will stay in a cycle of pain, uncertainty, and feeling out of control and as though we are at the whim of Life’s vicissitudes…
Karma is rather the lack of living to that known to do! As you would be forgiven, so forgive in others. That is the manner to meet karma.
Edgar Cayce Reading: 2271-1
The Law Of Judgement
It’s probably wise to follow the Law of Cause & Effect and the Law Of Karma with the Law of Judgement just so we’re clear on a few principles which are broadly misunderstood. And, the broad misunderstandings are largely due to our penchant for overcomplicating that which is fundamentally very simple at heart!
The Law of Judgement has nothing to do with being right or wrong. The Law of Judgement has nothing to do with punishment.
The Law of Judgement is all about discernment.
This is how it works…
Everything exists! (Except for nothing… everything and nothing are mutually exclusive. So, if everything exists then nothing can’t!)
It is impossible to split everything up into what is good and what is bad and then expect everyone to agree you did it right… No-one will agree with anyone else about what is good and bad because “one man’s meat is another man’s poison”. Making things right and wrong is a very subjective game… and is actually one we play, either wittingly or unwittingly, to obfuscate the Truth…
And what is the simple Truth of the Law of Judgement?
Well… it is this…
Everything exists so that we may employ our DISCERNMENT and choose wisely for ourselves. Those that work in unison with the Law Of Responsibility will ask themselves how they feel about a proposition, and if it feels appropriate, they will chose to proceed.
We will learn from every choice, because every choice elicits an experience (Law of Cause & Effect), but some experiences will be easy and some will be hard, some will delight and some will be painful… this is why discernment is key.
I once chose to do a bungee jump. And, I hated every second of it. But, instead of having a fit of the screaming ab-dabs and demanding bungee jumps be outlawed and the service of offering bungee jumps made punishable by death, I simply decided that bungee jumps weren’t for me and went on my way…
Judgement = discernment! Not blame, criticism and creating a ‘them and us’ scenario! Discernment isn’t divisive. We are all one!
This is the first lesson ye should learn: There is so much good in the worst of us, and so much bad in the best of us, it doesn’t behoove any of us to speak evil of the rest of us. This is a universal law, and until one begins to make application of same, one may not go very far in spiritual or soul development.
Edgar Cayce Reading 3063-1
And judge not others, condemn not others. This is not love divine, neither is it Wisdom. For it builds barriers, it destroys, it undermines the life of self-first and then in the hearts and minds and experiences of others brings sorrow, disappointments, and those things that maketh the hearts of individuals afraid.
Edgar Cayce Reading 262-104
Mercy & Grace
Just as that influence termed by some students as karma. This is the natural law, yes. But there is the law of grace, of mercy. And this is just as applicable as the law of karma, dependent upon the stress or the emphasis put upon varied things.
Edgar Cayce reading: 2727-1
It serves us well to remember this when dealing with The Law Of Karma and the Law Of Judgement…
Law Of Responsibility
The Law Of Responsibility speaks to our ability to respond. Response-ability.
The Law Of Responsibility impacts our ability to make wise choices for ourselves.
We cannot make wise choices when we rationalise. Rationalisation is based on what if’s, which is a very disempowering way to look at things, and require’s you to start writing a script for what hasn’t happened yet. We can NEVER know the consequences of our actions unless we commit to those actions and then live out the consequences.
A lot of us make assumptions about what other’s will do in response to the choices we make. We say things like, “I can’t do that because it will really upset such-and-such”. (We rarely say, “If I don’t do this it will really upset me!”, because we are too busy worrying about the world of shit we are inviting from other people in relation to our prospective choices than the suffering we are likely to inflict on ourselves by not living our own Truth.
But, remember this… those who love us only want us to be happy, and to be happy we need to be true to ourselves. Those who love us accept this fact, and even if they personally don’t like the choices we make, they will continue to love and support us, regardless. This is Unconditional Love. It is True Love.
But, I digress. The point here is the Law Of Responsibility is based on our ability to FEEL what is appropriate to us as individuals, rather than thinking what is appropriate for us personally.
To make healthy choices we need to shut off our thoughts and go deep into ourselves to feel how it feels. But, we are not looking for an emotional response… we are looking for the response which feels like home! The response we feels like peace. The response that makes us feel more whole.
What We Believe We Become
What you think, how you live, what you feed upon, live with, abide with, associate the mind with, THAT your soul-body becomes! That is law. That is Destiny.
Edgar Cayce reading 262-78
Belief is not the Truth. Only knowing and not knowing are the Truth.
Don’t worry about what you don’t know, because what you don’t know hasn’t killed you yet, and you will know it when you need to know it, in the goodness of time.
Know that what you know is true knowledge because you feel it to be so. We can only ever know what we know when we feel it… when it feels like home.
The beauty of knowing and not knowing is that we don’t need to know very much to be happy. In fact, the less we know the happier we are!
It was biting the apple from the tree of knowledge that sent us all scuttling down this profoundly complex rabbit hole… and, simplification is what will bring us back up towards the Light.
The One Truth Behind Universal Law
Universal Law will reveal the Truth about ourselves to us.
When we work in accord with Universal Law life reveals what it is we need to know. And, what we need to know is who we are.
When we know who we are life choices become easier and easier. We become more discerning.
The hard choices with the ugly outcomes are necessary for some people because they do not love themselves enough to choose kindly outcomes, and others are determined to learn the hard way believing life to be cruel and hard.
As Shakespeare wrote…
… there is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so…
To believe life is hard and cruel will make life appear to be these things until we suspend our judgement, and allow it to be what it is…. neither good nor bad, but simply for our learning…
This is not to say the more we live in accord with Universal Law the more we will feel like we are skipping through a bed of roses.
Besides, roses have thorns!
The Law of Acceptance will eek out our fallibilities and present us with experiences which we personally are more naturally inclined to judge in terms of good and bad. These will be the experiences we feel we can’t stomach and that we want to discard from life completely.
But, they must exist for our sake, so that we may learn to accept all that is in the world, and we may learn to choose wisely.
All is for our enlightenment.
All is Love…
The Low Down On Love
I love the verse in The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran. I have read it through the decades and have found more and more truth as the years have passed, and my experience and understanding has been amassed.
I hope this verse will resonate with you too…
Then said Almitra, Speak to us of Love.
And he raised his head and looked upon the people, and there fell a stillness upon them. And with a great voice he said:
When love beckons to you, follow him,
Though his ways are hard and steep.
And when his wings enfold you yield to him,
Though the sword hidden among his pinions may wound you.
And when he speaks to you believe in him,
Though his voice may shatter your dreams as the north wind lays waste the garden.
For even as love crowns you so shall he crucify you. Even as he is for your growth so is he for your pruning.
Even as he ascends to your height and caresses your tenderest branches that quiver in the sun,
So shall he descend to your roots and shake them in their clinging to the earth.
Like sheaves of corn he gathers you unto himself
He threshes you to make your naked.
He sifts you to free you from your husks.
He grinds you to whiteness.
He kneads you until you are pliant
And then he assigns you to his sacred fire, that you may become sacred bread for God’s sacred feast.
All these things shall love do unto you that you may know the secrets of your heart, and in that knowledge become a fragment of Life’s heart.
But if in your heart you would seek only love’s peace and love’s pleasure,
Then it is better for you that you cover your nakedness and pass out of love’s threshing-floor,
Into the seasonless world where you shall laugh, but not all of your laughter, and weep, but not all of your tears.
Love gives naught but itself and takes naught but from itself.
Love possesses not nor would it be possessed;
For love is sufficient unto love.
When you love you should not say, “God is in my heart,” but rather, “I am in the heart of God.”
And think not you can direct the course of love, for love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course.
Love has no other desire but to fulfil itself.
But if you love and must needs have desires, let these be your desires:
To melt and be like a running brook that sings its melody to the night.
To know the pain of too much tenderness.
To be wounded by your own understanding of love;
And to bleed willingly and joyfully.
To wake at dawn with a winged heart and give thanks for another day of loving;
To rest at the noon hour and meditate love’s ecstasy;
To return home at eventide with gratitude;
And then to sleep with a prayer for the beloved in your heart and a song of praise upon your lips.
From The Prophet(Knopf, 1923). This poem is in the public domain.
Just Coz It’s Easy Doesn’t Mean It’s Not Hard!
Universal Law may be simple… but… that doesn’t mean it is easy to apply and integrate
This is why we are given so much time to figure it all out!
Sometimes the simplest things in life are easier said than done!
To Know Is Not To Be
Knowing and being are two very different things.
It is when we act in accordance with what we know to be true that we integrate that knowledge into our being. This, in fact, is what having integrity really means.
Being what we know is easier to say than do. It takes practice.
This is because knowing and being are two entirely separate things!
To Heal Means To Be Whole
Now do you see why the Anglo Saxon word health being synonymous with the word whole is so very important and profound?
To be whole means to be oneself… and that means to act with integrity.
When we heal our fractured selves by acting in accordance with Universal Law, we will heal ourselves physically, mentally and spiritually.
Universal Law is the path of health.
That ye think, that ye put your Mind to work upon, to live upon, to feed upon, to live with, to abide with, to associate with in the mind, THAT your soul-body becomes! That is the law. That is the Destiny.
