Wild Crafted Organic Rosehip Seed Oil

Rosehip Flower

Wildcrafted Organic Rosehip Oil is a seed oil just like Organic Pomegranate Seed Oil and Organic Raspberry Seed Oil.

Rosehip Oil is considered to be profoundly anti-ageing and healing for the skin. But, as with all things, there are different qualities of Rosehip Oils to choose from.

Wild Crafted Organic Rosehip Oil is often the most nutrient dense form of Rosehip Oil available, as long as the Rosehips used to make this cold-pressed oil have had sufficient sunlight and a good nutrient-rich soil to grow in. This Wild As the Wind Wild Crafted Organic Rosehip Oil grows wild in sun-drenched conditions on an Organic Estate in Bulgaria.

Wild Crafted Organic Rosehip Oil, unlike Organic Pomegranate Seed Oil and Organic Raspberry Seed Oil doesn’t have an SPF, but, it is helpful in strengthening the skin barrier and is exceptional for repairing some of the damage caused by the sun.

Why Is Wild Crafted Organic Rosehip Oil So Popular?

Organic Rosehip Seed Oil is considered, by many within the skincare and cosmetic industry, to be the number one anti-ageing carrier oil.

It is used extensively in the cosmetic industry because of this.

Wild As The Wind Wild Crafted Organic Rosehip Oil

The Wild As The Wind Wild Crafted Organic Rosehip Oil is of exceptional quality. Most of the commercially available Rosehip Oil comes from South America. The Wild As The Wind Wild Crafted Organic Rosehip Oil comes from Europe and is cold pressed from Rosa Canina which grows wild within the organic estate where we source our Organic Rose Essential Oil.

Cold Pressed Wild Crafted Organic Rosehip Oil

Unlike the cheaper alternatives, Wild As The Wind Wild Crafted Organic Rosehip Oil is a cold-pressed carrier oil, where the oil is slowly pressed from the seeds contained within the hips of the Rosa Canina.

The cold pressing of seed oils ensures the nutrient content of the resulting base oil is optimal.

Oils which are extracted quickly soon heat up the metal equipment being used to perform the extraction. Heat damages and destroys the nutrients within the byproduct of this process. A deadened base oil will have no healing benefits for the skin.

Organic Rosehips Are Love In A Heart Shaped Sack

Rosehips

Have you ever seen a Rosehip? They are blazing red and are very much like the beating heart of the plant world. (Although, the Hawthorn Berry, a deep blood-red berry, is also very akin to the human heart, and is used the world over as a remedy for all manner of heart conditions).

In this image of Rosehips, (courtesy of Collins Dictionary), you can see the hue of the red is very much more like the fresh, healthy blood which courses through our veins.

You can also see the berry is elongated, like a love heart, or even a natural human heart.

And, even the Rosehip flowers are reminiscent of the heart as well… The petals of the Rosa Canina, (Dog Rose), are love heart shaped as well…

Where Are Rosehips From?

Rosehips come from a sprawling rambling Rose known as the Dog Rose, or Rosa Canina, one of the most ancient form of Roses there are. The older the rose type the fewer the petals it possesses.

The original Rose only had four petals.

The flower of the Dog Rose blooms in late May and June in the UK, and only has six petals. It is a beautiful, delicate flower which doesn’t last long. The petals are of the palest of pink, almost white at the centre, gradually growing more pink toward the outer edges of the heart shaped petals.

The stamen within the flowers are as delicate as the petals themselves. It truly is a beautiful flower in it’s celebrated simplicity.

I took my newly purchased oils to my beauty therapist who today was giving me a facial and body massage – pure heaven. I asked her to use this oil on my face and upper body area. I could feel the quality as it was rubbed into my skin and it absorbed wonderfully. The smell was also good. I will be using it nightly as a daily replenisher. I am glad I found this lady upon recommendation.

This oil just sinks into my skin giving it a most lovely rosy glow. Knowing it protects & nourishes my skin, it puts a spring in my step as I head out on my chilly morning walks with my Tai rescue dog Macintosh. One of the many great products I couldn’t be without xxx

  3. Andrea Standivan (verified owner)

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL oil! Before bed after washing my face, I use plenty of this oil mixed with the sun tanning blend on my face, neck, chest arms … the combination smells GORGEOUS and I know my skin will be nourished as I sleep. I feel so grateful to have discovered Rachel’s products (and to have met the lovely lady ) …affordable, quality products made with love and integrity that you can trust. I know the rose hip oil will be working it’s magic overnight …thoroughly nourishing and natural. I’ve been using Rachel’s oils for many years now and both my girls (17 and 18) use and love the oil blends too. Result! Thanks Rachel xxx

Really beautiful oil, can tell the quality by the smell and colour, it has a subtle earthy smell rather than a pungent fishy smell that a lot of poor quality rosehip oils have and its a lovely orange colour. Now I’ve found a good quality oil at an affordable price will be buying more from this shop. Thanks Rachel for your great customer service.

Hi Tasmin, thanks for your fantastic review. I’m so glad you are enjoying this special Wildcrafted Organic Rosehip Seed Oil. I was really saddened to learn that you’ve had bad experiences buying Rosehip Seed Oil online before, so I am so glad that you have found an oil that you can trust.

Many of the Rosehip Seed Oils sold in the UK, and elsewhere, come from Chile. Sadly, they are an inferior oil. This gorgeous Wildcrafted Organic Rosehip Seed Oil, (which is in the Wild As The Wind Facial Oil No. 2), is made from rosehips which grow wild on the organic estate where the organic roses are grown, from which the Organic Rose Otto Essential Oil is made, (which is again in the Wild As The Wind Facial Oil No. 2).

The rosehips are carefully collected up and then genuinely cold pressed for this purpose. It is a rare oil, restricted by the small amount of wild rose bushes that grow there. I feel blessed that the producer allows me to buy this oil from them.

The fishy, unpleasant smell you refer to, is indicative of oils that have been improperly pressed. The steel rollers heat up quickly if production is rushed. The pressing machines run all day, and so much of the poor quality oil is produced via extremely hot rollers. This kills the nutrients, and makes for an unpleasant smelling oil.

Most cold pressed oils don’t smell great because of this, but is not the case for the Wild As The Wind oils.

For example, the Wild As The Wind Organic Raspberry Seed Oil even has a faint smell of Raspberries… this is almost unheard of. The Wild As The Wind carrier oils are rare and exceptional. x x x
