Why Bulgarian Organic Rose Damascena Essential Oil?
The best quality Organic Rose Otto / Organic Rosa Damascena Essential Oil comes from the Rose Valley in Bulgaria. Other countries produce this beautiful oil, but none compare to the exquisite quality of Bulgarian Organic Rosa Damascena Essential Oil.
Rosa damascena is a hybrid rose, developed by the Persians, and named after the city of Damascus in Syria, which is renowned for its fine fragrances. I
Rosa damascena the product of crossing Rosa gallica with Rosa moschata.
Introduced to Bulgaria, by Ottoman merchants in the 17th Centuary, Rosa damascena is the mainstay of rose cultivation and rose essential oil production in Bulgaria.
Organic Rose Damascena Essential Oil
This exquisite hybrid requires abundant soil, intense sunshine, and open growing space, making Bulgaria an ideal location.
Roses have been successfully cultivated in Bulgaria for hundreds of years, although, some accounts suggest that rose growing, in central Bulgaria, dates back to Thracian and Roman times.
The unique climate and fertile soil of the immense valley, between the Balkan and Sredna Gora mountains, provide the ideal growing conditions for roses. The valley is 59 miles long and ranges between six and seven miles wide, covering an area of approximately 732 square miles, much of which is given over to the growing of roses.
Unsurprisingly, this soon led to the area being known as Rose Valley… a name that persists to this day.
This vast tract of land, dedicated to the growing of roses, has led to the development of intergenerational expertise in the process of extracting essential oils from the delicate petals of a number of varieties of roses, in particular Rosa Damascena and Rose Alba.
This intergenerational expertise is unsurpassed, with Bulgarians being recognised for producing the best Rose Essential Oil in the world.

Genuine Organic Rose Damascena Essential Oil
This Wild As The Wind Organic Rose Damascena Aromatherapy Oil is a genuine Organic Rose Otto Essential Oil. Sadly, many are not.
It takes 1.2 million rose petals to make 10ml of essential oil, thus making Organic Rose Damascena Essential Oil a very valuable commodity.
This sadly means that there are many fake Rose Oils to be found. Unscrupulous producers, of chemically synthesised Rose Oils, can make huge profits, especially online.
However, many of these fake Rose Oils are highly likely to be toxic. For this reason, Rose Essential Oil should never be bought on price. Nor should it be bought from non-credentialed suppliers.
The best credentials, these days, come in the form of the body of customer feedback a company has earned… but, of course, even customer feedback can be faked!
Nevertheless, it is relatively easy to discern the fake reviews from the genuine ones… and, it won’t take you long to ascertain that all of the Wild As The Wind feedback is authentic.
How To Tell If You Have A Genuine Organic Rose Damascena Essential Oil
Organic Rose Damascena Essential Oil should be solid at room temperature during the cooler months. A genuine, natural Organic Rose Damascena Essential Oil will thus distinguish itself from lab generated, chemically synthesised oils.
A true Organic Rosa Damascena Essential Oil needs to be raised to body temperature before use. Simply place your Organic Rose Damascena Essential Oil bottle in an upright position about your body for five minutes to achieve this end.
Placing it close to your heart will allow you to start benefitting from the subtle energies of this beautiful oil, prior to using it aromatically.
Organic Rose Damascena Essential Oil Versus Rose Absolute
It is very unfortunate that the solvent extraction of essential oils has acquired the name ‘absolute’.
Many people interpret the word ‘absolute’ as denoting purity, but sadly, this is anything but the case.
Absolute oils are extracted using toxic solvents, some of which will remain in the oil, after it has been obtained from the plant materials.
Clearly, toxic solvents are not good for us, so the name is very misleading.
Organic Rose Damascena Essential Oil is a lot more expensive than Rose Absolute Oil, because the yield from the steam distillation of rose petals is a lot lower than the amount of essential oil, and other products, that is procured through solvent extraction.
Solvent extraction draws out pigments and other facets of the plant material, which is another reason why absolute oils are simply not pure oils.
Fragrance materials can be extracted with the aid of solvents such as hexane. However, the resulting product, called an absolute, is not a pure essential oil, as it contains additional plant constituents. Absolutes are unsuitable for therapeutic purposes, due to the small amount of toxic residue they will invariably contain. Solvent extraction, or separation, is often used to extract the aromatic principles from plants with a very low yild of essence, such as neroli and rose. It is generally favoured by the perfume industry as it is more economical than the distillation process.

Rose Oil can be easily obtained from Turkey and Morocco, but the quality just isn’t the same. As it takes 1.2 million Rose petals to make 10ml of essential oil, the extraction of the essential oils has to be elevated to an art form if it is going to be done properly.
The growers of roses in Rose valley in Bulgaria have done just that… and no-one can compete with them.

An exquisite oil. I recently bought this even though the price
made me pale! I am beyond delighted that I did. I ended up
making a number of blends, all of which are absolutely
heavenly. My current favourites are: Organic Rose Otto, Organic

Just Wooow! This Rose Otto can only really be described as intoxicatingly exquisite!! Its enchanting scent lingers, smelling like a perfect rose is beneath my nose when I shut my eyes and breathe in. It really does feel like every care has been taken to bottle the essence of this flower.
When using the oil aromatically and on my skin, it brings about an incredible sense of uplifted peacefulness, clearing my mind of internal chatter, whilst opening and soothing my heart.
Considering the undeniable quality of this organic Rose oil the price is remarkably affordable. Other well known essential oil companies are astronomical by comparison! This is a real gem of a find and you have a customer for life!! Thank you, Jen xx
